These terms cover your use of the Sift app and siftmy.video. By downloading or using Sift, you agree to them.

Your license

A license lets the licensed number of editors use Sift on their Macs for the licensed term. You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute Sift, or work around how it is licensed. Third-party components are covered by their own licenses; see Third-party licenses.

Your content

Your footage, projects and exports are yours. We don't receive them and claim no rights to them.

When you build a style profile from videos you don't own, you are responsible for having the right to download and analyze them, and for following the terms of the site you get them from. A style profile stores measurements and sample frames for your own reference; Sift doesn't put another creator's footage or music in your cut.

AI providers and your key

Sift sends sampled frames and text to the AI provider you choose, under your own API key. Your use of that provider is governed by your agreement with it, and you pay it directly. Budget caps in Sift are a convenience; your provider's bill is the record of what you spent.

Sift's output

Sift's moment labels, sync, selects and rough cuts are suggestions. Check them before you deliver work to a client.

No warranty

Sift is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Keep backups of your footage; Sift reads it but you are responsible for your media.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about Sift is limited to what you paid for your license in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we'll say so on this page before it takes effect.
